Why did the Temple Left Desolate and who really destroyed the ?!
This is what the True Messiah of Israel Said according to Luke 13:34-35
34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! 35 See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly,[a] I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”[b]
How a 3-days constructed Temple replaced a 46-years constructed Temple?
Jesus the Messiah, mentioned to destroy the Temple and then construct it in 3 days John 2:19. In this, Jesus talked of a Temple of His Body according to John 2:21. Also, our Bodies were confirmed to be God’s Temples according to 1Corinthians 3:16-17
(16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are).
Proof that the Jerusalem Temple was left desolate and that Jesus built a new one in 3 days and transformed us into True Living Temples Temples of God:
- The Veil of the Temple got torn into two according to Mathew 27:50-51
(50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,).
So this fulfilled His message in John 14:6 (6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me). This means that today we don’t need to go to the High Priest in order to talk to God as it used to be. Today, when we accept Jesus our Messiah then we just talk to God through Jesus.
- The High Priest Torn His clothes according to Mathew 26:64-65.
64 Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65 Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!
The act was against the commandment given to High Priests not to tear their clothes according to Leviticus 21:10
(10 ‘He who is the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and who is consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes;).
- We who accepted Jesus as our Messiah, we took up the Priesthood office and Jesus our Messiah is the High Priest according to 1Pet 2:9
(9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light)
19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,(Hebrews 10:19-20)
- Jesus our Messiah became the candle sticks which used to provide light in the Temple according to John 8:12
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
- Jesus our Messiah Replaced the Sheep which they used to offer whenever a person sinned according to Hebrews 10:8-12
8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.”[a] He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
- Jesus our True Messiah is now the High Priest and is Right now in the Most Holy place pleading for us according to Hebrews 9:24-26
24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
- How we sacrifice in the new Temple according to Romans 12:1
12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
